Razu Music, a platform aimed at connecting musicians and enabling them to thrive, faced challenges in managing its growing user base. The existing system did not offer a comprehensive view of user activity, nor did it effectively handle user account issues. Furthermore, the process of tracking user engagement and maintaining platform integrity was cumbersome and inefficient. The lack of a streamlined management process was impacting the platform's performance and its ability to support its community of musicians effectively.
As a Senior UX/UI Designer at Razu Music, I undertook the task of designing an admin dashboard that aimed to solve the aforementioned issues. The primary objective was to create a centralized system to handle user accounts, track engagement, and maintain the integrity of the platform.I started by conducting extensive user research to understand the needs and challenges of the admin team. This provided valuable insights that helped shape the design process. The data gathered from research was instrumental in building user personas for the admin team, highlighting their daily tasks, pain points, and needs.
The admin dashboard was designed with an emphasis on intuitive navigation and effective data visualization. It included features to handle user account issues, track engagement, and provide a comprehensive view of user activities on the platform. Also, a robust system was put in place to maintain platform integrity, ensuring rules and community guidelines were upheld.
Furthermore, a crucial part of the solution was to ensure that the admin dashboard was scalable, keeping in mind the platform's growth trajectory. The interface was designed to accommodate increasing amounts of data without compromising on performance or usability.
The implementation of the admin dashboard dramatically improved the management processes on the Razu platform. Admins reported a significant reduction in time spent managing user accounts and tracking engagement, thanks to the intuitive design and efficient system put in place.
The streamlined approach to user management resulted in improved platform integrity, with administrators finding it easier to enforce rules and guidelines. User feedback indicated that the new system offered a clear overview of the platform's activities, leading to more informed decision-making.
